    How quickly will I receive my order?

     

    Due to the handmade nature of my products, turnaround times may vary. I aim to dispatch any ready to post items within 1 – 3 working days. Personalised and made to order items take up to 21 working days to make, plus posting time. During busy periods, please allow up to 28 working days, plus posting time.

     

    Please also note that if your order is a special Commission, I will discuss the turnaround time with you depending on the complexity of your commissioned item(s).

     

    All items are sent with Royal Mail Standard delivery (1st Class) or Hermes courier service - which service is used will depend on the size of your order.  According to Royal Mail delivery times, 1st Class Standard delivery can take anywhere from 1 – 3 working days. Hermes estimated delivery time is 3 - 5 days.

     

    Items will be sent to the postal address you provide when placing your order, so please ensure this is correct. I cannot take responsibility for incorrect or missing information, which may cause your order to be delayed or lost – this is your responsibility.

     

    What if I need my order sooner?

     

    If you need an item sooner than the stated 21 working days plus posting time, please contact me at info@mellasmakings.co.uk BEFORE placing your order to check whether I am able to accommodate your request and your order can be made and dispatched on time.

     

    Can I send my order to someone as a gift?

     

    If you would like to save time, I can send your order straight to your friends or family with a personalised note from you at no extra cost. I will make sure not to include any prices or other order information. If you would like to make use of this option, simply add your gift message in the ‘extra information’ box at the checkout and I will do the rest.

     

    Please note, if you are sending a gift to friends or family who live outside the EU, a customs form is required, which will declare the contents, price and weight of the item sent, so please keep this in mind when ordering a gift. As it is a legal requirement to provide this information, I unfortunately do not have any control over this.

     

    Do you deliver worldwide?

     

    Worldwide delivery is available through Royal Mail’s International Tracked and Signed service. Prices vary depending on the size of your parcel and country it is sent to. Please contact me at info@mellasmakings.co.uk for more information.

     

    International buyers are responsible for paying any customs, duties and taxes set by their own country.

     

    International delivery time after I post your items according to Royal Mail is currently 3 – 10 working days for Europe and 10 – 15 working days for the rest of the world destinations. These times should be used as a guide only. Arrival times will vary from country to country.

     

    How do I care for my Mella’s Makings goodies?

     

    It is very important to note that all Mella’s Makings products are decorative accessories and not toys or meant for use in play as per Article 2 (Annex 1) of the Directive 2009/48/EC on the Safety of Toys. As the buyer, you acknowledge this at the time of purchase and will assume all liability.

     

    It is best to surface clean your Mella’s Makings goodies by gently wiping them clean with a damp sponge. Cushion covers can, if needed, be machine washed, inside out, using a gentle wash cycle and a cold setting. Cushion covers should be ironed on the reverse, using a cool iron. Be sure NOT to iron over any embellishments or appliqued pictures added to your cushion covers. Not following these instructions is done at your own risk and I cannot accept any responsibility for damage caused to your items as a result of not following the above instructions.

     

    Can I order a bespoke product?
