Returns and Refund Policy
Thank you for supporting Mella's Makings. I take great pride in creating thoughtful, handmade pieces that are crafted with care and attention to detail. As each items is made to order, I aim to ensure every customer receives something special. Please read my returns and refund policy carefully before placing an order.
Handmade and Custom Items
Due to the nature of handmade products, especially personalised or custom items, I do not accept returns or refunds unless the item is faulty or damaged upon arrival. Each item is made by me, just for you and once production begins, it cannot be resold.
If your order has been personalised, customised or made specifically for you, it is non-refundable unless it arrives damaged or contains an error that is my fault.
I kindly ask that you double-check spelling, personalisation details and any other instructions when placing your order.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives faulty or damaged, I am truly sorry! Please contact me within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item and packaging so I can assess the issue.
Where appropriate, I will offer a replacement or refund. I may also request that the item is returned to me (in which case I will cover the return postage).
I Do NOT Accept Returns or Issue Refunds For:
- Custom or personalised orders
- Items that have been used or damaged after delivery
- Change of mind
- Minor variations in size, colour or finish - please note, all handmade items are unique and some variation is expected
- Digital downloads (once the file has been sent or accessed)
International Orders
I currently ship to the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
I do not ship to the European Union or Northern Ireland at this time due to the implementation of the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) on 13 December 2024. This regulation requires businesses selling to these regions to appoint a Responsible Economic Operator within the EU or Northern Ireland, which is not feasible for my small business at this time. I appreciate you understanding and hope to find a solution in the future.
Please note that international delivery times can vary and you are responsible for any customs charges or import duties.
Digital Products
Once I begin offering digital downloads (such as printable gifts or downloadable messages), these will be non-refundable once the files have been sent, accessed or downloaded. If there's an issue with a file, please get in touch and I will do my best to resolve it.
