    Terms and Conditions

    Welcome to Mella's Makings. By placing an order or using my website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

    1. About Me

    • I am a sole trader based in the UK, specialising in handmade fabric products, including personalised pet decorations, gifts, keepsakes and digital downloads.

    2. Handmade Products

    • All my products are handmade with care and attention to detail.
    • Due to the nature of handmade items, slight variations in colour, size or design may occur, making each item unique.
    • These slight variations are not considered defects.

    3. Orders and Payment

    • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
    • Payment must be made in full before items are dispatched.
    • I accept payments via the methods listed on my website.
    • All prices are in GBP and include UK VAT where applicable.

    4. Shipping and Delivery

    • I ship to the UK, USA, Canada and Australia only.

    • I do not ship to the European Union and Northern Ireland at this time due to the implementation of the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) on 13 December 2024. This regulation requires businesses selling to these regions to appoint a Responsible Economic Operator within the EU or Northern Ireland, which is not feasible for my small business at this time. I appreciate you understanding and hope to find a solution in the future.

    • Shipping times may vary depending on destination and customs processing.

    • Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees imposed by their country.

    • While I take care to package items securely, I am not responsible for delays and damages caused by postal services or customs.

    5. Digital Downloads

    • Digital products are delivered electronically, via instant download after payment confirmation.
    • Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final and non-refundable.
    • You may NOT share, resell or redistribute digital files.

    6. Personalisation

    • Personalised items must be ordered exactly as required, as am not responsible for errors due to incorrect or unclear personalisation instructions and I cannot accept returns or offer refunds on personalised products unless there is a manufacturing fault.

    • Some variation in text size or placement may occur due to design limitations.

    7. Use of Customer Photos

    • By submitting photos of your Mella's Makings products for sharing on social media, reviews or marketing, you grant me permission to use these images for promotional purposes.

    • I will always credit you where possible and respect your privacy.

    8. Intellectual Property

    • All designs and images are my intellectual property.

    • You may NOT reproduce, copy or use my designs without permission.

    9. Returns and Refunds

    • Due to the personalised and handmade nature of my products, I do not accept returns unless items are faulty or damaged on arrival.

    • If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact me within 14 days with photos and details. I will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

    • Custom or personalised items are non-refundable unless faulty.

    • Non-faulty cancellations or change of mind orders cannot be accepted.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    • I make every effort to provide accurate descriptions and images, but I cannot guarantee that colours or details will appear exactly as shown.

    • I cannot be held liable for any loss, damages or injury arising from the use of my products.

    11. Privacy

    • I respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with GDPR.

    • Your details will only be used for order processing and communication related to your purchase.

    12. Changes to Terms

    • I reserve the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time.

    • Any changes will be posted on my website and apply to future orders.

    13. Governing Law

    • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
